Based on the full study of the physical and chemical properties of Hainan Shilu Iron mine, the experiment of pre-concentration, Hydrogen Mineral Phase Transformation (HMPT) -magnetic separation of Hainan Shilu iron mine was completed to the small-scale and expanded continuous test, and the technology of pre-concentration desulfurization, hydrogen base mineral phase conversion and magnetic separation was developed. With TFe grade of 40.60% of raw ore, an iron concentrate with TFe grade of 65.68% and iron recovery of 85,56% was obtained, which is 3 percentage points higher than the concentrate grade of the existing process, and the recovery of more than 20 percentage points higher.

The project has received 33.6 million yuan of special funds from the National Development and Reform Commission to support the development of advanced Manufacturing and modern services, and has been started in November 2021. Currently, the project is under construction.

Clean utilization of complex refractory mineral resources based on HMPT
